Absolutely heavenly scent from this Viburnum ‘carlesii’. If you can buy/own/grow one… I highly recommend ! It’s has a spicy, vanilla scent: short season for the flowers but so worth it.

The weather here in central North Carolina, in Zone 7b, has been hot, cold, sunny and rainy. Just like anywhere else. But, yes, spring has certainly arrived as the grass is green and oh, those cherry and crabapple trees have been glorious!

Off to Art in Bloom: an annual event at @ncartmuse

Off to Art in Bloom: an annual event at @ncartmuseum . Just wonderful. Floral designers are asked to create a display for certain, selected works of art. What a gorgeous job they do !

My friend and I spent long time wandering, talking and listening (and of course, admiring..)

Then in to a delicious lunch and then the shop! Perfect day and I highly recommend. I’m sure tickets are all sold out now… but there is always next year !

What a totally lovely morning: went out to @hawriv

What a totally lovely morning: went out to @hawriverfruitco to pick some tulips.

Bring your own shovel and a bucket and you’re good to go. I dug up tulips, bulb and all, and now they sit in two vases.
