It’s Fall… almost… and that means one very important thing to me:
time to do some serious garden planning and planting.
After a long hot summer which was at times too wet and other times too dry, the weather has now calmed down. Warm sunny days and cool nights.
I inherited these lovely white Japanese Anemones. I had always had pink in the North, but I think the white is now my favorite! Last spring I had white Columbine which was delightful…
How about this gorgeous Caladium, Miss Muffet, for a show in the fall?
I’m “renovating” my shade garden in the terrace area with these
Heucherella “Alabama Sunrise”. The leaves, which are green now, will be golden in the spring and then have small white flowers.
See the fern in the background? That’s Dryopteris “Brilliance” and should do well here as they are just next to the birth bath with it’s constant overflow of water.
