Yesterday was one of those glorious autumn days..

Yesterday was one of those glorious autumn days.. you know, in between all the rainy days in the UK!!

Snapdragons… freshly cut from the garden. Yes, I searched and searched, and was able to bring home six large pots! I only like the tall and they have been hard to come by this year, and last.
Here in 7b they will/can make it through the winter. Deep freeze included. I cover them with a very light mesh fabric after cutting them back a bit. One garden center advised me to start giving them food by February : if the weather is fairly mild this is good! By end of March (just when the tulips are emerging) these flowers are ready to bloom. Mind you… that is all happening in a good year! Not every year is so successful 😬

The Chanel exhibition at V&A in London!
So fascinating, full of history, iconic, textural. Beyond the to-be-expected gorgeous fabrics, needlework and color… I was struck by just how amazing that a woman was able to do all this. One hundred years ago, mind you. I am in awe.
