What’s not to love about Savannah?
We have been there several…many?…times and each visit is unique and lovely.
Last week was cooler than usual with one very windy day following strong thunderstorms.
The gardens in Savannah are always a joy; in March it is the azaleas that steal the show!
The mornings were glorious. We stayed near Forsyth Park and our first morning I really think the azaleas were at their peak. They were just gorgeous. The next day it rained, hard, so thank goodness I took these pictures when I did.
Spanish Moss is so unique and adds such character to each and every tree…
The Palmetto (not Palm!) trees are always a joy to see, especially against the true blue sky.
Next up: Amaryllis
Several houses had them planted in front usually around a tree and/or with black iron fencing.
