Melamine: It’s not just for outdoor use any more.

If you will remember, last year I did a post:

PINTEREST: LETS HAVE FUN!

I, and thousands of others, have so much fun with Pinterest!
THIS

I recently upgraded to a “Business” account and, among other “privileges,” I have access to Pinterest Analytics for my account. I can see my Pinterest Profile, my Audience, and Activity generated from this blog. I never realized how useful this could be.

Here is the #1 repined image from all of my 78 boards, for the last 30 days:
And, this board “Succulents and Terrariums” is always in my top three for views and pins.

We are having some major server problems and the blog has been mostly down, off-line, for the last few days. Sometimes it’s up and running; but mostly it’s down. I’m hoping this will post while the blog (for the moment) is up and running.

MOST POPULAR POSTS OF 2014

Which posts, of the almost 100 for the year 2014, were the most popular? Which posts received the greatest number of hits?

Here’s a quick look at posts that were published during the year, 2014. I am very happy with my switch over to WordPress.org a year ago HOWEVER I do miss how Blogger automatically tracks hits for each post. WordPress requires a little more sleuth work to dig deep into your stats…but well worth the time!

It’s always interesting to see just what you all read, and re-read, and share. Many of my travel posts were popular, but this was the #1 hit:

ADDITIONS TO THE BLOG: CATEGORIES

Let’s keep it organized!

As you know, I write about several different subjects, and these vary from week to week. Only “Friday Flowers” has remained an absolute constant each and every Friday; otherwise I usually post on Sunday night for a Monday morning delivery to all email subscribers.

What’s the point here you may ask? Just to let you know that I have added a new “widget” to my sidebar over there on the right!

If you have searched for a specific subject, word, title etc. you have been able to find it here, on the sidebar:

Search a word, a subject, a title etc.

But now you can also search, or just look around, a specific “Category”, again over on the sidebar:

These are the main categories of subjects I write about.

And when you click on one of these “Categories” you will see a page with just excerpts of posts, not the entire post. This way you can more easily and quickly scan through the posts and pages.

As another aside, I am also trying to keep my Pinterest boards more up to date! I let it slide for many months […]

QUICK AND EASY NAPKIN RINGS

Want to make some quick and easy, and very pretty, napkin rings?
I didn’t have much time, and didn’t want to go out shopping for any supplies, but ~~needed~~ wanted some fun napkin rings for a small dinner party we were hosting.

Don’t know where I got the idea..but I took a paper towel roll and cut it into about 2″ sections. What to put over it? I tried several papers, layers of yarn and string, and then discovered this great burlap “ribbon” in my supplies basket.

My original idea was to do a real “fall” look, thus the leaf.

Then I found this new ribbon from World Market which I have wanted to use…
