It’s a new year and, traditionally, time to consider how we want to travel through the next year, no? One of the ever-present items in my life is this blog. Not a big surprise here. I’ve been at it for years…. and years. While I have cut back the number of weekly posts (how in the world did I post five times a week??) I have pretty much settled into the routine of Monday and Friday.

Now, lest you think this is a farewell note, IT IS NOT! I will continue to blog. More than anything else it’s the friends I have made that make it all worthwhile. Yes, it’s YOU! All over the world. All kinds of people. The information I put out there is good, and I am glad you enjoy it and keep coming back for more but for me it’s the relationships that matter most.

Once in a great while I actually get phone calls (yes, real live phone calls!) from blogger friends. If you have followed me for a while you know I was in business with a friend I met through blogging, importing rugs from Provençe. While it only lasted a few years, it was SUCH fun and she and I are still great friends. Then there is the blogger I met on line who invited me to stay in England. Thank you, thank you! It was a lovely experience and one I will never forget. And then there is the blogger I met soon after we moved here and whom I visited in Provençe and who then introduced me to another woman who just bought a house in my village and has become a friend. Just recently I reconnected with a blogger with whom I had lost touch a few years ago. The list goes on and on.

There are the endless number of new friends made through courses I’ve taken, mostly for photography. And that has led to new friends on Instagram. Many of these new people are in England, Poland, Australia, Italy and more. I love every minute of it.

So…. what am I saying here?
Happy New Year
and thank you for reading what I have to say!

P.S.  If you look below, at “Related Posts,” you will see two that I wrote several years ago on the same similar subject. Always interesting to look back!
