Melamine: It’s not just for outdoor use any more.
If you will remember, last year I did a post:
Outdoor Dining: The Melamine Trend
I have also been updating my Pinterest board
Melamine For Outdoor Dining
A name change is overdue for the board: maybe a simple “Melamine?”
There are so many great new, fun, and colorful designs coming on the market each month. Here is a roundup of some of the new designs I’ve found:

This, called Daisy, is one of my personal favorites. From Crate and Barrel.

This Swirl from Pottery Barn is wonderful when combined with Medallion, below.

Medallion from Pottery Barn.

Target does it again with Mudhut Ikat pattern: very fun..
Hope you have enjoyed this roundup as much as I did in putting it all together.
Is there any product, or trend, or them that you would like me to cover here? I love doing the research: just let me know, ok?
It certainly has come a long way from the camping plates we used as kids! I have a beautiful set of white hammered looking plates that are so nice I could use them year round.

I agree, Heather, it’s come a long….way! The designs, and the variety, are really good these days.
Fun stuff. I like Daisy too. Recently, I find my taste is less traditional and more contemporary, or at least more pared down.

Well, the fun, contemporary designs in a product like this really make it stand out, I think. Why go traditional when you can have such fun!
Swirl and Medallion get my vote. Love the new frontier in Melamine.
Have you ever done a post on how to get an orchid plant to keep blooming?
Thank you!
Jo: Hmmm,no I don’t know the first thing about orchids; I’ve never grown them, but do love looking at them!
I really like the Swirl from Pottery Bar it is simple but elegant. ALso the mudhut ikat pattern by Target reminds me a bit of a brand I have come across called Barel Designs they do some simple melamine homeware.
