The week in flowers. Actually, it was a short week as I was away until two days ago.
You may have seen this posted on my Instagram and Facebook page, but for the rest of you…
my first morning back home was very peaceful, sitting right here!
A bouquet from the garden, yesterday:
Louisiana Iris, Teddy Bear:
Year three and they are thriving!
The last peony of the year, with some more snapdragons:
It’s a holiday weekend, so I’ll be taking a short break.
See you later next week!
Sad to think your peonies are almost done! We have to wait till June for peonies so mine are just budding up now. Love, love, love that iris!! Have a great long weekend!

Heather: Yes, that iris was new to me. I had never even heard of Louisiana Iris. I follow them on FB now, and they have a meet up each spring down in Louisiana: I am dying to go!!
Your garden looks relaxing and welcoming.

Thanks Susie: yes, it’s my favorite place. Perfect now, before the heat and bugs! Have a wonderful weekend.
Loving your garden, Libby!
Hi Cindy:
I’ve been meaning to write you back and thanks; glad you like the garden. It just makes me happy to be out there. We just installed our first ever irrigation system (ourselves!!) and can’t believe we lived without one in this climate. Perhaps I’ll do a post: we will see!
