It’s Camellia time again!
This is one of the few plants we inherited (and didn’t pull out) when we moved here and it never fails to please. I think, but am not absolutely certain, that it is
camellia japonica “Berenice Boddy.”
I had fun doing a Camellia photo shoot the other day!

We were cleaning/organizing closets last weekend and I found this picture in a box from my Mother’s house. That’s me, on the right, and my sister, in Maine where we went every summer. I can almost feel that huge rock and the sunshine and hear the lake water around us.
You can read more about our Camellias HERE and HERE.
Finally, let me tell you what a time it has been around here. By the time this goes out to all email followers, I will have switched servers!!! Yay! A shout out to Kelly for all her help; and yes, to me to for hanging in there. At last, it’s all finished!
I love camellias too and the pic of the little sisters is adorable! Sorry for having to deal with server issues. You must have so much patience,I would not even begin to know what to do!
Thanks Cindy, and I saw the camellia in New Orleans on your post. So, do you have them in your new house?
I’ve always loved Camelias too! One of these days I’ll redo my landscaping and include a few in the mix.
Kelly: Well, they certainly are easy to grow around here!
Such a beautiful camellia and I love the picture of you with your sister. Glad to hear that your problems are sorted out now. J x
Julie: Thanks! Yes, it is always such fun to look through old pictures. I really CAN remember sitting there, on that rock!
Happy Easter to you too! And yes, it does help to have guests coming…it put me in high gear! Hah
