It’s Friday and time for some flowers.
We entertained last weekend and a friend brought me this most wonderful bunch of cut hyacinths. I’ve been watching them open and develop their lovely scent, all week. Now they sit in my studio; I have the door shut and it’s warm in here and they smell heavenly!

Here they are in front of my computer, five days later. Faded and lighter, but still smelling wonderful.
And now, because it’s almost Valentines Day, here’s a spot of red and pink!

Couldn’t resist trying it in the Waterlogue app….
Hope you all will have a nice Valentines celebration and restful weekend!
These are my favorite flowers! When I see them I know that the spring is coming <3

Hi Libby,
Hope you had a great Valentine’s Day. My hyacinth bulbs are already starting to pop up. I can see the flower forming inside the leaves. It’s been a bit on the cool side here with rain expected tomorrow and Tuesday and colder temps expected for mid week. Still, it is better than living out on the East Coast with all the snow they are receiving. I really feel sorry for everyone. I can’t even imagine all the snow piled up even after living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 10 years (and believe me back in the day we had tons of snow there living near Lake Michigan. We got tons of lake effect snow). So I’ll take cooler and even a bit colder than that anyway! LOL
