It’s been a while, but we’re back with another in the series:
Today it’s a practical drug store item, but only relevant for those of us who wear contact lenses!
I’ve worn one, bi-focal, lens in my left eye for years. I take it out every night and also change it out for a new one once a month.
Here are the two brands I had been using, for years and years. And then, last summer my eyes just never felt right. Irritated. Nothing terrible, but very annoying. So I went to see the doc, who said to definitely switch to Clear Care.
You know what Clear Care is? Hydrogen Peroxide!!!
As you can imagine, I shook my head in disbelief and said, no, never, I can’t put that in my eyes!
Ah well, you put your lens in this nifty little plastic jar, leave for a minimum of six hours and the hydrogen peroxide is totally neutralized and the sparkling lens is ready to go in your eye.
Amazing. Amazing. And yes, it works SO well each and every time.
So there you go. If you are a lens wearer, I highly recommend you try this!
I have the same type of lenses as you and use a similar product it is tricky getting it through security when travelling due to the peroxide.

Never thought about that! I took the small, travel size in September (to England) and had no problems…but then I had checked my bag. Something to remember!

I agree, Clear Care is amazing.
Happy New Year to you too! And I was one who loved the Malamine post.

Ok, this is incredibly timely! I think I need glasses and will go to get my eyes tested. Good to know about this! I’m thinking contact lenses instead of glasses. Hope you are staying warm – it’s frigid in DC. xo

Loi: Contacts are not for everyone, but just the one bifocal is perfect! Good luck. Yes, staying warm and covering my plants outside!
I am enjoying your blog. We have a few things in common. Our Son and DIL where married at Fearrington House. I worked at Furnitureland South in Jamestown in both sales and management. We have lived in NC for many years. From Michigan originally. Funny you should notice the napkins and casserole. Got the napkins at a sale at Anthropologies this year because they matched my casserole. Good eye. Not surprised. Looking forward to following you. My Best, Penny

Penny: Those wedding at Fearrington House are so beautiful: we often walk by and stare! Nice place indeed, and very nice place to live. Oh, Furnitureland South: love love it. It’s the best source for all home furnishings anywhere. So, are you still here in NC or gone to Florida for a warm break? Thanks for checking in here….
Hi Libby, We are back in Florida. Will return to Lake Lure the first of April. Just in time for the Spring blooms.
