Winter has really hit hard, hasn’t it?
All of you in the Northeast know that for sure, and the rest of us are with you in needing some bright, pretty colors in our lives. Gardening season is not yet here, but the days ARE getting longer and the birds are beginning to think about their trek northward, and the seed catalogs have arrived!
In anticipation of sunny days ahead, I began to gather some yellow for you.
Now, maybe you know how much I love yellow. I’ve always been a huge fan, even when it seemed no one else was. I think the bottom line is that it suits my personality

Libby- I LOVE the color yellow! It’s been my favorite all my life. In our new homes in Hillsborough, I plan to paint the front doors yellow- any suggestions?

Yes, I do like the color yellow. It is a cheery color and has always brightened my spirits and during the cold winter months it cheers me up. It hasn’t been to bad here in the high 50’s and for the next 5 days in the low 60’s and sunny. We’ve been able to walk everyday (which is good for the diet and exercise as I am trying to shed some weight which at my age is hard to do but I “aim to persevere”. LOL)
I’m waiting for the weather to get warmer to get out and garden some. I have some Dahlia’s to plant in mid February that were given to me by a friend and will wait to see how the other plants faired before trying to figure out what to replace the plants that didn’t make it.
Hope you are staying warm and I think your lemon muffins sounded delicious! I made an Apple & Rosemary Buttermilk quick bread and whipped up some homemade biscuits with the leftover buttermilk. I was never very good at making biscuits, but this recipe was so easy even I could do it! LOL
