We’re all looking back at 2013 and ahead to 2014, right?
So I took a look at my most popular posts for the entire year of 2013.
Popular = how many hits/clicks/views a post generated in the one year, up to December 30, 2013.

Travel Essentials: What to Wear
These posts cover a variety of subjects, but it would seem that all of you, my readers and followers, like to discover products that work, ideas that other women bloggers have tried and liked, and you want to learn what is new.
The Skin Care post was a joint project with Kathysue of The Good Life of Design. I had wanted to do this post and, in asking other bloggers if they would like to participate, Kathysue had suggested a “dual-post” idea. So it worked beautifully and you all seemed to like it.
The Cranberry Cake came from a friend mentioning that she had made it, that it was easy, and it was one of her favorite recipes from Ina Garten. A few weeks after posting it here and then putting on my Pinterest board, it really took off. This is an excellent example of the power of social media and just how connected each venue is to others. It wasn’t something I thought would have been SO popular, but I had almost one hundred hits a day from that one recipe. I guess many families were eating that cake around Christmas time!
The Travel Essentials evolved from my trip to Provence and Paris last May. What to wear for a long trip aboard a crowded, often delayed, dry-air, no frills flight is a universal question for most women. I’ve pretty much got my clothes down to a workable system (though there is always room for improvement) and thought I would share it with everyone.
Coming in next to the above posts were many of my Friday Flowers posts. This pleased me, as I thought these were read and appreciated by a smaller audience. They are sort of a niche subject; but it would appear that many of you are interested in learning and reading more about gardening. Good! This is one of my favorite subjects, so I will definitely be expanding on the Friday Flowers series.
Some of the top Friday Flower posts were:
Succulents and Terrariums
Our New Stone Egg
A Helpful Hint: Ups-a-Daisy
As I said, I will be expanding on this series. But I’m also working on new ideas and some new regular features that will be making an appearance here. As you know (if you’ve followed me at all) the blog design is still a work in progress. We’re getting there! I’ll be telling you of my new ideas and phasing them in gradually as the year progresses.
In the meantime, I’m getting ready for a road trip. I will try to post some of the details before we leave, but I will, for sure, have lots of images and updates on Instagram. Even if you don’t have an Instagram account, you can always stop in here, go to the sidebar and click on any of the Instagram photos there.
