Remember my trip to Mebane?
I brought these guys home with me!
They’re paper mache
Papier-mâché (French for “chewed paper”, [papje maʃe], English /ˌpæpi.eɪ ˈmæʃeɪ/ or /ˌpeɪpər məˈʃeɪ/), alternatively,paper-mache, is a composite material consisting of paper pieces or pulp, sometimes reinforced with textiles, bound with an adhesive, such as glue, starch, or wallpaper paste.
and oh so adorable! Some of them have a just a little trouble standing upright..but nothing that a wee bit of tape won’t solve.
They look very handsome on our mantle painted with BM “Iron Mountain”!
Here they are in the store, The Elegant Relic, looking very much at home.
And these two flew off were sent to live with my daughter, happily ever after!
