Flowers on Friday
I usually post pictures and a story about real, living flowers. Well, today we will change it up and show some flowers as used in fabrics. I have a guest post for you from Design Shuffle!
Hi, all! Mari here from Design Shuffle, the awesome social networking site for interior designers, architects, other design professionals and anyone who craves beautiful images of stunning rooms. Today’s guest post for Friday Flowers here at An Eye for Detail is about one of my favorite interior design details: floral fabric. Whether it’s traditional, contemporary or cottage style, there is a lovely array of floral fabrics for every room. Interior spaces decorated in these appealing fabrics can go bold and bright or calm and soothing: it’s up to you. With so many beautiful flowers and fabrics to choose from, we finally selected eight. Enjoy!

This large floral from Designers Guild is colorful yet dramatic with its deep charcoal background. Such a lovely contrast of colors.

Not all beautiful florals are bright and bold, this one is beach house perfect in pale blue and white. It works so well with the stripes in the rug and the color of the painted cabinet.

Combining floral fabrics with deep vibrant solids sets a formal tone in this glam space. Definitely a fresh take on traditional style.

A sumptuous bedroom design from Barry Dixon is hung with yard and yards of large scale floral fabric, but the soft and muted colors look lovely not overpowering.

This living room has Tricia Guild written all over it. Does anyone do florals and color better? The flowery pattern from the curtains at the windows is repeated in wallpaper panels betweenóa great backdrop for contemporary furnishings and accessories.

A single pillow in shimmering turquoise makes a stunning statement in this peacock-inspired living room. Gorgeous and so glamorous.

A comfortable informal space with an English cottage feel illustrates the appealing result of combining several floral prints on a sofa already done up in floral upholstery. So inviting!

Inside this room filled with colorful decorating ideas, Anna Spiro of Black and Spiro in Brisbane, Australia, shows just how perfect one small floral fabric can look amongst a jumble of bright and bold toss pillows.
Drawing inspiration from designers around the globe from New York interior designers to San Diego interior designers and more, Design Shuffle is the right place to be!
Thanks Mari! Hope you all have enjoyed this guest post…
