She’s a beauty!
This is my papyrus. Some of you may remember her from old, old posts (no longer available as they were on Typepad…) where she sat in our house up north, in the dining room, leading a sort-of-happy life.
Then, last December, she travelled down south in our car. Careful to keep the heat on so she wouldn’t catch cold… she sat at my feet for the 11 hour drive.

And here she is in January, in her new home. Kind of gaunt and skinny…
It’s cold outside:
In June I put her outside, on the front porch, in direct sun. Does she get sun! The western, afternoon sun beats down on her and she is loving it, as you can see. Never seen a healthier plant…

Next up: to go back north and rescue my 7′ palm who has been living, all alone, in our empty house. Yes, she too will flourish once I get her down here!
If you’re interested in buying a papyrus, take a look. You will need a container without drainage and lots of nice muddy water…
